Privacy
Here is the data stored by Codeway.
Account.
When you register, the site stores your name, email address, password hash, and recovery code hash. The password and recovery code themselves are not stored in the database. The recovery code is shown once and can restore access without email.
Study and entrance
The site saves the code sent, the results of attempts, the progress of lessons and the scores for the exam so that you can continue your studies later. With a new course, the previous results remain in history. The service cookie session is used for up to 30 days. Leaving the account removes the active session.
Data storage
Account and learning data are stored in Cloudflare D1, with the database located in the European Union. To protect sign-in from repeated attempts, the site temporarily stores the IP address and number of attempts. Old records are deleted every hour.
Deletion of data
In the profile, you can delete the account along with the saved code, progress, evaluations and sessions. You need a password to confirm. After deletion, this data cannot be restored through the site.
External links and advertising
The VS Code course links to official instructions and YouTube. Those sites' own rules apply when you visit them.
The Codeway home page and lessons load Google AdSense code. Ads may not appear while the site is under review.
Google and other advertising partners may use cookies, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads, including based on previous site visits. Learn more: how Google uses data.
You can change ad personalization in Google's ad settings; you can opt out of some other providers at aboutads.info.
